There seems to be a basic misunderstanding here from Danny Rose. OK, he’s a footballer, he’s paid for his physical skills, not employment of logic. But he’s stating that he can’t wait to get out of football because of the racism in the game, the authorities inability or lack of desire to deal with it. No, we don’t condone the racism nor the insults, nor even the lackofdoinganythingaboutracism.
But we would like to point out that we live in a market economy. There are some 30 million odd jobs out there, not all of which are playing footie.
Danny Rose ‘can’t wait to see the back’ of football because of racism
• ‘I’ve five or six more years left … I just want to get out of it’
Danny Rose has revealed he cannot wait to walk away from football because he is so disgusted by the racism that blights the game – and the response of the authorities to it.
Well, actually, he can wait to get out of it. Some 5 or 6 years apparently. Because there is that girt big economy out there, he can go and make his living elsewhere if football truly is that toxic. Perhaps not as good a living, maybe the lifestyle would take a hit, but it’s possible. 99.999% of the population manage it every day after all.
This doesn’t even mean that Rose should just put up with the racism. Nope, it’s vile and shouldn’t happen. It is just to point out that he can indeed wait and is fully intending to. Expressed preferences and revealed and all that.
