Disney’s 3 Little Pigs Will Win Best Animation Oscar

A Silly Symphony – Disney’s “3 Little Pigs” was released in 1933. Entirely pioneering animation here even as it was Chuck Jones and Tex Avery who really raised it to an art form.

Based on a fable of the same name, the Silly Symphony won the 1934 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film of 1933. The short cost $22,000 and grossed $250,000.[2] In 1994, it was voted #11 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field.[/perfectpullquote]
