Just think how hard we’re going to have to work to truly cleanse our society of the stains of racist iconography. An example being that the insignia of the Order of St Micheal and St George is racist. Yep, and angel stamping on the neck of Lucifer is just too, too, close to what happened to George Floyd to beallowable:

This is a highly offensive image, it is also reminiscent of the recent murder of George Floyd by the white policeman in the same manner presented here in this medal.
In the orders of chivalry Michael and George is the one usually handed out for efforts in the diplomatic corps. We might, unkindly, suggest that the imagery is therefore appropriate in this sense being complained about. Getting one up on Johnny Foreigner rather being the point of the enterprise.
The correct answer though is that there’s no requirement to accept any of these gongs, if and when they’re offered. So, don’t like it, don’t accept it. And there’s the end to the matter.

A very cool post. It's one thing to interpret a topic accurately, and another to put it in a few words that stick in the reader's mind. The quality at HD tends to be rather patchy, but I will look out for more of your work.
Of course, we don't know it was "murder." Coked-up Floyd resisted arrest and gave a "claustrophobia" excuse for not entering the police cruiser. Chauvin restrained him (apparently in accord with policy) until backup arrived, Floyd making another health complaint that turned out to be true. This might not even be manslaughter, which in any case is for the jury not the mob. We also still don't know that Floyd's skin color was a factor.

The family has purchased a second opinion, from a doctor with a history of providing facts-to-order, that the police restraint was the cause of death. (And, per CDC policy, it is really a Covid-19 death.)
Chauvin screwed up big time. Even if it had not resulted in death, and it seems probable that this is a commonly used form of restraint, his hold was brutal and painful and inflicted in a sadistic state of mind. The difference between the good guys and the bad guys is that the bad guys pass counterfeit bills and the good guys continue to treat every suspect with respect.
Maybe because Chauvin and his victim knew one another, and Chauvin already had 18 complaints filed against him. He was a bad guy, so was his victim. Public-employee unions protect bad guys; good guys don't need them.

Quite. Take the polls of the large number of African-Americans who "encounter racism every day." Out here in the woods, every day we experience friction dealing with other humans and have our plans thwarted.
