55 Men Of No Ethnicity Arrested In Yorkshire Child Sex Abuse Inquiry

A further development in that series of ongoing cases into child sex abuse and grooming gangs Ooop North. Another 55 men have been arrested during an inquiry into such events in the Dewsbury, Batley and Bradford areas. None of us really did think that the other shoe had quite dropped yet so the existence of another, or more, such case or cases doesn’t surprise.

What interests though is that we’re still not being told the thing we’re all really very sure about already. That ethnicity thing. We know that these gangs are almost entirely made up of those who see themselves as standing apart from those they abused. More specifically, largely Pakistani background people abusing the children of indigenes.

No, not Muslim, nor Islam, nor all Asians nor, obviously enough, all of Pakistani background. That some of a group do something does not mean all of the group do. No one is saying that the Home Secretary abuses children unless it’s in a metaphoric and political sense about poverty etc. And yet what is it that we’re not being told?

Vile and awful but there’s a bit missing isn’t there? Just not there. Nope.

Our 55 seem to have no identifying features, are of no known ethnicity.

We have, of course, seen this before, as we noted here. Eggshells are such that we don’t get told such things, we have to guess. Guess that people surnamed Hussain, Rafiq, Choli, Fikru, might not be from families that have been roaming the area since Willy the Bastard’s harrying of the north.

Presumably someone thinks that actual identification will be enraging of summat but is that really true? No one’s going to be making any other assumption at present, are they?
