How Much Will Adele Have To Pay Husband Simon Konecki When They Divorce?

Or perhaps a better formulation is how much will Adele have to pay her ex-husband Simon Konecki if they do indeed divorce? For one of the basics of English law these days is that sauce for goose is indeed sauce for gander. Whatever the split of marital assets should be, whatever the rights to income streams and so on, is not determined by who is male and or female. Nor, actually, interested in gender at all as those first few cases of divorce in same sex marriages going through the system show.

The legal position will be – barring some unexpected revelation that Konecki is massively wealthy in his own right – that Adele is going to hand over some money. Of course, it’s entirely available to them to reach any other agreement they wish. But the legal position if people stand on their rights is obvious enough.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Adele has separated from her husband Simon Konecki, representatives for the singer have confirmed. In a statement on Friday, they said the pair were “committed to raising their son together lovingly”. Adele gave birth to her son, Angelo, in 2012. She married Konecki – an investment banker turned charity boss – in 2016 after five years of dating. The best-selling London-born artist is known for her chart-topping albums 19, 21 and 25. Sad and all that. But around here we’re much more interested in the money part. And a general rule would be that Konecki is due whatever amount of money will ensure that he continues to live the lifestyle they had when they were married.

So, how much is that and how much is Adele going to have to pay her presumably soon to be ex-husband?

Haven't needed to look at divorce cases so apologies for the question if the answer is obvious (and I'm just being dumb).

Is this the case? You get to live large at your ex-partners expense? Even without some dependant? WTF!!! Why? What if she blows her fortune on coke and hookers?
