Inclusive what? The silliness:
More than 500 high-rise developments are in progress across the city of London. For a nation in the grip of a housing crisis, this should be good news. But in reality, this will bring hardly any benefit for many of those seeking a decent home. Almost none of the new homes are reserved for people with no or low incomes and, although house prices in London are falling – particularly at the upper end of the market – construction for wealthy people and international buyers continues.
Building more housing, of whatever cost, size, shape or intended market, means more homes. Thus the price of homes falls.
This is something to complain about?

People with money will be doing some upward migration from "affordable" and "economic" housing. Leaving more for the s***kickers like me. Good work.

Five at the same time would be a shock.
Almost every development in the City is high-rise these days but there isn't enough demand in the whole of Europe for 500 high-rise developments in the City at the price you would have to pay for an apartment [the most expensive land in England, major civil engineering to provide solid enough foundtions on London clay, a year or two for archaeologists to search the site for historical or pre-historical relics, cramped building sites making the work more difficult, exceptionally high standards demanded by the City Corporation ...]
The city of London (i.e. Greater London), not the City of London (square mile). Capitalisation is important!
Greater London is NOT a city and if it ever acquires that status it will not be called the city of London. Greater London has a Mayor, not a Lord Mayor.
If you think that I can rely on the capitalisation of someone who says 13% is one in six, who says 500 schemes are in progress when only 115 are being built, who says flats for sale should be reserved for people with no income ....
