The Problem With Flexible Working Is That It Gives People Choice, Liberty, Freedom

That we have a number of different manners of organising our working lives is an extension of freedom and liberty – we get to choose that is. And yet there are those who would – do in fact – complain about this. What if people make the wrong choices? What if for example, flexible working allows men to do more paid work, women to do more caring and household work? That would be bad because it allows greater expression of gender roles and expression of gender roles is wrong, innit?
