Weekend Box Office – Captain Marvel Is, Well, Marvellous

To the surprise of absolutely no one at all Captain Marvel tops the weekend box office takings. The latest offering from Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe – as we’re supposed to call the thing these days – was always going to top the numbers in the absence of any serious competition. However, at around $150 domestic and $450 internationally the takings have been a pleasant surprise to the studio:
