Joe Biden’s Sexism – Women Are Only Assistants, Helpmeets

US: Joe Biden vows to choose a female running‑mate

Well, that’s one way to describe this announcement. An unfair one, sure, but then this is politics.

In fact, VP has a purpose: to be ostensibly capable of assuming the chair but to be a person whom no one really prefers over the President: Al Gore, Joe Biden. (Pence, while ridiculed for his Christianity, would be a fine President, but proved he was a boring candidate for President.) VP should also be from a state that is in play. So clueless Joe is painting himself into a corner though he has supposedly already locked up the nomination. If he needs the very best VP, he will wander away from this “promise.” That’s the problem with a candidate… Read more »

PS: The headline implies that Biden views women as mere tools. That is unremarkable as, in elective politics, every candidate or office-holder views every other person as a mere tool.

OK, but the most qualified woman standing around at the moment is N. Haley, recently Trump’s point man at the despicable UN. Joe is probably going to limit himself to Democrat women, which may bring down the worthy to negligible numbers.

It’s going to be Hellary, isn’t it? Who can then take over after 18 months, when Joe succumbs to failing health.

Fortunately, Americans aren’t that stupid (probably).

The years 2008-2016 disprove that theory.

Even smart people fall for conmen (sometimes the ‘smartest’ are the easiest to fool). But “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”.

The man is senile. He spouts rubbish about 150 million people having been killed in the US by guns in the last few years, confused Margaret Thatcher with the Chancellor of Germany (but couldn’t remember what Angela Merkel’s name was) and told a campaign rally a couple of weeks ago that “I am a candidate for the United States senate’. He called a woman at a campaign event who asked a question a “lying, dog-faced pony solider” and offered to fight a worker who objected to Biden waving a finger in his face. Are they pushing him forward in the… Read more »

Are they pushing him forward? They are doing something. Two “moderates” quit just before Super Tuesday, one socialist quits just after, Clyburn makes Biden an Honorary Negro.

The only groundswell is Bernie’s Bros, and Bernie for decades has “caucused with the Democrats” but been formally outside and not paid his dues in many ways. If Biden doesn’t get it on the 1st ballot, treachery is unlimited.

Hillary and her trail of corpses poses a special problem for the President.

Or might this be why Warren is staying very quiet and not supporting Bernie
