Sure, obviously, the answer is yes. But how much more? The discussion of the results is here. The test is here.
And to the real point of this:
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Average score: 6.7 correct answers of out 11 (61% correct), which is very interesting (concerning?) given that the quiz is really pretty easy. Publik skools? Average Score for Men: 7.4 (67.3%) Average Score for Women: 6.0 (54.5%) Average Score for Whites: 7.6 (69.1%) Average Score for Hispanics: 5.1 (46.4%) Average Score for Blacks: 3.7 (33.6%) [/perfectpullquote]Dear God Almighty, what has happened to Blacks there? This isn’t racism of course, there’s nothing like that in there. It’s not discrimination. No, it ain’t the legacy of slavery either. Something absolutely appalling has happened to Black Americans.
That being, likely enough, the inner city education systems. Those most expensive parts of America’s K12 system. The ones that have been run by Democratic Parties for generations.
Could be there’s a lesson there, eh?
White male, college degree, 48 – 11/11.
Wow, I got 11/11. Don’t know how to compare that, does the distribution chart mean I’m in the top 16%?
Not much of it seemed to be science, it was more common sense, application of cognative faculties to external information.
Top 16% of USAians – probably top 30% of the world.

How does any demographic get 16% in a multiple choice question with only 4 answers?
Another full house. There was only one question that I was even slightly dubious about. In addition to asking about college degrees, they should have asked “STEM or other subject?” (although my limited understanding of the US degree system leads me to believe that question may be harder to answer for US graduates, with their major/minor division).
I went to university, so smugly there was no option I could chose. I went to college as well (did city & guilds electrical engineering), so selected “went to college”.
I have a problem with one of the demographic questions after the quiz – it only lists two genders…

P or V is two right?
Only if your P doesn’t self-identify as a V, yes…
grrrr. I got ten. I need to take one of those antacids now that I know its a base.
Blacks still (well 1980 anyway) do badly at school in the US, at least in the south. I was at the University of Florida then, and it was very striking in the canteens, that it was white staff and students being served by black employees. My theory: its language not education, for whatever reason (maybe a desire not to lose black identity) many blacks don’t talk proper, this still exists big time in the UK (eg in music). You won’t get a decent job if you can’t be understood, though the BBC is an exception, where you won’t get a… Read more »
Most of the answers I knew by just picking up the information through osmosis by having sense organs and a functioning brain. How do people *not* pick up that oil is a fossil fuel when the description has been thrown around for decades.
