There’s something that has gone seriously wrong in certain Northern towns. For we’ve another of these cases of children being sexually abused, even raped and trafficked. This is not the “normal” sort of vileness that has always happened, this is something new. It’s the mass abuse of the vulnerable by a large group of people who seem to think them something less than human. This is what did happen in Rotherham and what is alleged did here in Huddersfield:
A gang of 31 people in Huddersfield have been charged with offences including rape and trafficking after an investigation into sexual offences against children.
West Yorkshire Police said the five alleged victims were girls aged between 12 and 18, with the offences said to have occurred between 2005 and 2012.
It wouldn’t surprise in the slightest to find out that those so abused were supposedly in the care of the British state at the time.
A further 12 men who cannot be named for legal reasons have been charged with “numerous offences in connection with the same investigation”, said police.
It’s also true that nothing about the citizenship, place of origin, religion or ethnicity of those charged has been released. But two newspapers, at least, have seen fit to release the full list of those charged along with the charges.

It’s a list of names with very strong ancestral connections to West Yorkshire, isn’t it?
It’s not just the North, Oxford had a similar case. Of course, for those inside the London bubble, Oxford is in ‘the North’.
And the last 30 that were charged with the same thing here last year – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-39580591
No problems at all with this. Wonder why the state isn’t keen when Tommy points this out?
Should also point out that West Yorkshire Police have been making a better hand of prosecuting them until their neighbouring force in South Yorkshire.
Sorry, typo, until should be unlike.
It’ll be interesting when we’re all allowed to know what TR was not allowed to tell us. Gotta be big it’s been going on so long.
It will be the same thing that authorities were not allowed to tell us in this case (“further 12 men who cannot be named for legal reasons”). The legal reasons would be to keep the public from jumping to unfortunate (though true) conclusions.
Have they been charged? Are they over 18? Yes + Yes = publish.
Exactly. They don’t protect other people accused of rape in this manner, so why these people?
Whatever the law is, it should be applied equally. Fat chance, I know.
Living in Huddersfield, we have been watching what has been going on around us, knowing that there will almost certainly be something similar here. Rumours have abounded for years, then months ago there seemed to be some action with arrests being made. Now at last we can see the results, with 31 being charged. Huddersfield has a population of about 160,000 with around 7% muslim or 12,000; if you say that the male muslim population is therefore 6,000 and at least 1/2 of those will be less than 16, with the size of families within the Pakistani population I would… Read more »
