Stop Bitching About That Myleene Klass Pregnancy Photograph

Yes, obviously, we find Myleene Klass just as annoying as everyone else does. She’ll attend the opening of a letter if there are cameras there to record the fact. Yes, it is indeed irritating that looks and not much more by the way of talent or worth translate into such riches. But then that’s how the world works and having grumbled we can all move onto more important matters like how to we rickle the rhubarb?

Therefore this isn’t something to complain about:

Except, of course, some are so complaining. Step up Chloe Lambert in The Telegraph:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Myleene Klass’s nude pregnancy selfie has gone viral, to the surprise of absolutely no-one. The 41-year-old, who is reportedly due to give birth any day now, posted a black and white picture of herself online, looking impossibly young and beautiful, with the caption: “Our bodies are incredible!” I can’t argue with that. Pregnancy is a bonafide miracle of nature, and as someone who’s also expecting, and currently feeling slightly like a big, sweaty hippo, I’m all in favour of celebrating the marathon that mothers to be endure. Yet, despite being happy for Klass, the picture jarred with me. I’m fortunate enough to be having a baby, but know plenty of men and women who aren’t and wish they were… [/perfectpullquote]

Those about to parturate should lock themselves away for fear of upsetting the infertile? Gerraway you silly girl*.

The pretty should not display pictures because the ugly exist? The clever should not do logic in public because the dim are with us? The numerate should not count to 13 without taking their shoes off because inner city comprehensives still, unspeakably, gain funding? Even, more along this same logical line, the newspapers – or today, social media – should not display wedding piccies because some are having trouble getting the bloke to commit?

Of course all of the above are ridiculous, including the complaint about Ms. Klass. Well, OK, this particular complaint about her and Lord Knows there are enough to be getting on with sans this particular whine.

*Given the current hipponess of Ms. Lambert perhaps girl is not le mot juste.

Female columnists are always moaning about what other women do. But they do not see that tendency as denoting a flaw in womankind, however much it may appear to the rest of us.
